More march madness

Mom came to visit us. As soon as her plane landed we took her and the family to this man's NEW home in Gilbert. His name is Cory. He was deployed 10 times and was hit with a roadside bomb that hit him leaving him in a wheelchair. For our 1 year anniversary with BB we donated proceeds to welcoming home deployed military men and women from Gilbert. They invited us to an open house of Cory. It was great to hear his story of bravery, selflessness, strength, and will power. He has a awesome house for his needs and we were privileged to meet him. An hour after we left, President Obama visited his home as well. Months earlier Cory was recognized at the State of the Union.
We emptied our pool and the kids played in it until I took this picture and saw Levi climbing up the rock wall. That would have been broken bones had he fallen!! YIKES! After this they were banned from playing in the pool. Our kids are climbers!!

While Gammie was here we took a trip to the pottery store and all of us painted something here.
Unfortunately we only had Gammie for a few days before she had to visit her sister, Aunt Cissi.

Macie turns 2

I mean, I really don't think they come this much cuter!
She's been starting to pose and she comes up with some crazy and crazy, funny expressions too. In that way, she reminds me a lot of Jordyn.

She got her own cupcake to devour.

 She wouldn't use her hands.

She like getting sung to and she loved the presents she got. A new baby doll she takes care of that cries (which is really annoying, especially the 50th time you hear it).

Uncle Ryan and Aunt Alisen also got her a Farm lego set that gets played with everyday.

Mac still takes a daily nap. She loves to sleep with her special blanket. She's doesn't like having a dirty diaper and so she's gone pee in the toilet a few times but that is it. She is talking a lot more. It seems like all of the sudden, she's switched from wanting Jeff all the time to wanting me again. She's a happy girl, likes to sing, play on jeff's phone looking at our pictures and videos, and playing in her sister's room.

The Amazing Race

Jen and I applied to The Amazing Race in March. Unfortunately we haven't heard anything yet. We had fun creating a video application.

Here we are with are race medals on. We've ran all these races together and started running together too. She's been a great friend and I'm glad we have each other to, and our other running friends, to train and have fun with.

Jen was the first friend I met in Arizona. She lived a few streets away from us and was in our ward but moved out a year later...sadly.

Jordyn's performances

She was in Aladdin. She played a magic carpet and was also part of the ensemble.

Haha. She's performing on stage and picking at her nail for a split second.

After I greeted her with roses. She loves performing. I think having her 'own' thing is great for her.
In School every year each grade has a singing performance on something they've been studying. For the 1st graders, it was EGYPT. All the songs focused on and about Egypt. It's always really cute and fun.

Levi turns 5!!

Levi turned 5 this year. It's all happened so fast. Mixed emotions come from me. I want him to grow bigger but still have that same boyish, purity about him and hope he is always that sweet, loving, helpful, tender kid that he is.
If you can't tell we had a "dinosaur" theme party for playgroup. It was a great group of kids this year: Lucy, Weston, and Marin Rigby, Mallory Moncur, Andersen Theurer, Spencer Manning, and Brayden Nielsen.
A few Sundays before his primary teacher gave him a seed to plant and it actually grew :) He was very proud of his plant.

Two of his friends helping him open presents and telling him what they got him before he opened the presents. So cute!

 Mallorie, our neighbor and Levi

We got him 2 games he can play on the XBOX

His actually birthday was during our Spring Break so we went rollerskating. He's gotten so much better since he's had roller blades.
 His sweet baby pictures
Right after his birthday he need a hair cut and we thought this old man cut was hilarious. We thought for halloween he can be an old man with this hair do.
And lots of money from family that he received in the mail. I'm pretty sure he had a great week!!

Feed My Starving Children

The beginning of March we went to this place and prepared food that is sent to poverished areas of the world. We watched a video first. A boy was 6 years old and weighed 19lbs. 6 months later after he received this food he weight more than 60lbs. We all had a great time working together with strangers and making food.
 Gotta love the hair nets.
We were all at stations. Levi needed a little stool to help him reach to pour his stuff in a bag.
Jordyn in charge of pouring rice in a bag.
Jeff and Levi working side by side
Sydney putting the bags of food in a box to ship to places. Every time we filled a box we yelled the number box we were on. There were probably about 6 other tables doing the same thing. It was a little friendly competition who could make the most boxes.
When we finished (about an hour), we cleaned up our stations and before we left, we blessed the food we had prepared. It was a fun family service project to do. I'm sure we'll do this more!
